For over 13 years, Hunter O'Connor, a Flint native with an unshakable love for her community, has dedicated her life to helping others heal. She always knew she was meant to create something bigger than herself — a sanctuary where every person, no matter their background, could feel seen, supported, and safe.
With the unwavering support of her husband, Alberto, and the many helping hands of our incredible community, The Hive was born.

Hunter O'Connor
Founder · Reiki Master & Sound Healer
A Flint native with over 15 years of experience in the healing arts, Hunter is a beacon of transformation, resilience, and heart-centered healing. Her journey into the sacred work of healing began long before she stepped into the role of a practitioner — it was forged through lived experience, navigating the depths of emotional, mental, and physical trauma that so many women endure in silence.
Alberto Berich
Co-Founder · Holistic Coach & Sound Healer
From an early age, Alberto experienced how unprocessed trauma could shape a life. At 11, he watched his father pass away from a heart attack, an event that left deep emotional wounds and a lingering sense of disconnection. Struggling to navigate the weight of grief, depression, and uncertainty, he spent years searching for something to bring him back to himself.

Come as you are
Do I need any experience to attend?+
Not at all. Every gathering is beginner-friendly and held with zero judgment. Come exactly as you are — curious is enough.
What should I bring to a sound bath or circle?+
Just yourself and comfortable clothes. We provide floor cushions and blankets; some folks bring a water bottle and an extra layer to stay cozy.
Do you offer private events?+
Yes! Our space is available for professional, healing, educational, celebratory, and family-friendly private events. Send us an email or give us a call and we'll help make your event a success.
What if I can't afford it?+
We refuse to turn anyone away. Many of our offerings are donation-based or sliding scale, and your support helps us keep healing accessible for all. Just reach out — we'll find a way.
